Longbeards and Longbraids are Dwarfs past their 120th year, and even though they are not considered clan elders, their words bear much weight. They may accept Gnutrommi and even Altrommi as apprentices.

Also known as Fullbeards (or Fullbraids) Altrommi are required to take apprentices from amongst the Gnutrommi and train them in the art of the clan craftguild. This manifests in the Dwarf-patronage system, in which Altrommi look for and watch over Gnutrommi. As an Altrommi, you will be required to select a Gnutrommi for apprenticeship. You will also likely give this Gnutrommi his deed-name while he apprentices under you.

Requirements to achieve Langktrommi:
You must have mentored an apprentice for at least a month. Thereafter, you may apply to the elders to be considered for promotion to a Longbeard or Longbraid. This will require you to have shown impeccable judgment and participated often in RP events. A forum presence on the website won't hurt your chances either.

After completing the Knublesprube, or apprentice-work, Dwarfs are considered "Young Clansmen" and begin their training within their mother's craftguild (in the case of us Grudgestones, the jeweler's guild). When you first become a Gnutrommi, you will be presented to the rest of the clan in the right of Kumenouht and then you will be given your first set of real craftsman's tools and the craft-guild insignia of the Jeweler's Guild. Dwarfs also turn their mind to marriage at this time.

You are now an apprentice to an older dwarf, usually an Altrommi but sometimes a Langktrommi. They will help guide you along the route of clanhood. You are also a full-fledged Grudgestone!

Requirements to achieve Altrommi:
Participate in at least 2 clan events, be recommended for promotion by your Master, write an original lore piece for review by the clan Lorekeeper (Ormir) or submit at least 2 approved entries into the clan Book of Grudges.

Khazalid for the "Young Ones", Garazi are taught mining fundamentals as well as some other crafts before they enter adulthood to work in the jeweler's trade. As a Garaz, you are of the youngest members of the clan. You are expected to learn as you go; there are no attendant rights and few duties. You are also on a trial basis until you reach the next age-ranking.

Requirements to achieve Gnutrommi:
You must register here, on the website. It will take you a period of at least a week to go up for review by the Elders. After that time you should also have an Altrommi or higher to vouch for you and act as your master. You must also complete your Knublesprube, or craft-project. This is a masterwork project submitted to the Elders of the clan for review.

Special Requirement: You must also be placed on the family tree before your Kumenouht.
